Health Tech Startups Invited to Apply for AAMI Xcelerator Pitch Competition June 7

Health tech startups using artificial intelligence, machine learning, wearables and distance health tools to improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes are invited to apply for the AAMI Xcelerator Pitch Competition on June 7, with access to business advisors and $9,000 in cash prizes for winning teams. This first-ever competition takes place in conjunction with AAMI Exchange, the annual health technology conference of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. This event will take place at the Global Center for Health Innovation in Cleveland, Ohio.

The AAMI Xcelerator, a collaboration between AAMI and BioEnterprise, is designed to bring forward leading-edge ideas and companies to those who would benefit most – clinicians, nurses and administrators. Startups that fit the profile for this competition should have at least one of the following criteria:

  • Utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help support direct clinical care and/or administrative functions
  • Ability to provide clinical decision support by linking to their EMR and patient-specific data
  • Connected wearables/devices providing distance health tools that can drive patient intervention and overall outcomes

In addition to the pitch competition, Xcelerator will feature panel discussions on the implementation of artificial intelligence and deep machine learning in clinical settings, with confirmed panelists including:
