Bounce Innovation Hub encourages open collaboration among diverse groups through unique opportunities, programs and events and looks to engage anyone and everyone with a mind for innovation, including startup founders, small businesses, large corporations, investors, makers, innovators, artists, students and universities. It aims to create meaningful connections, where new ideas are born through collaboration.
Bounce was founded in January 2018 and is the region’s first open innovation hub. Located in downtown Akron in the former B.F. Goodrich plant, the building comprises more than 300,000 square feet of co-working, event and meeting space and office, lab and light manufacturing space. With more than 50 organizations in the building, Bounce is home to more than 250 people working and creating.
Bounce currently offers a technology company incubator program, a software accelerator, and a physical product program in partnership with MAGNET, called Iterator. An application is required for each of these programs.
Bounce’s first floor, the Generator, is open to the public. It comprises 27,000 square feet and includes co-working space and private offices; event and meeting space; The Workshop: A Creative Co-op; the Remarkable Coffee and Cafe; and a 24-seat, state-of-the-art, esports facility.
Through in-house programs and community partnerships, Bounce currently serves more than 55 startups throughout Northeast Ohio.
